Reno@TPY - Wet Works in progress

Sometimes i forget that not everyone speaks the same lingo as me. So what does "Wet Works" mean?
In general, it means works that deals with cement or concrete. Like brick laying, tiling for floors, tiling for walls, waterproofing, flooring like laminate or vinyl, screeding and plastering. The very beginnings of a renovation. So when it comes to tiling, there needs to be coordination work between the tiler and/or contractor and/or designer on where to lay the first tile and how the tiles are going to be laid. This can go on pretty long. Probably when I do remember, I might blog it in another post.

Once the "Wet works" are completed, next comes the Dry Works like dry wall partition, painting and carpentry. Carpentry is another art on itself. That deserves another post just on itself!

In between the Wet works and dry works are electrical (usually has 3 fixes), air conditioning plumbing and glazing. Not necessary in that order.

Yup! so there are many groups of people that form a team to work on a renovation and everyone has a time and role to play. Now that is the main contractor's role to coordinate everyone's timing and when they should come on board during a renovation.

Hope this sheds more light for those who are starting their home renovation!
